Somar Family Vineyards founders John and Brenda Ramos have shared a lifetime of entrepreneurship and today Somar is their true passion.
With century old roots in Portugal's Douro Valley, the Ramos family continues the generational tradition of grape growing, winemaking and sharing the fruits of our labor.
John and Brenda's nephew Tony Nunes grew up farming with John alongside his own parents, carrying on the tradition of his grandparents Joaquin and Albertina Ramos. Tony has had his own vineyard in the Napa Valley for fifteen years. He manages grape growing and winemaking for Somar as well as business operations.
